Joint4Energy is organization also known as the Challenge Mont Ventoux and is located in Twente. The organization collects funds to finance researches and projects which contribute in finding medication/treatments for children with metabolic energy disease. Their goal is to fight the effects of this disease and can bring cure. Recent studies has shown that
“70% of these children die before they become adults and over 50% dies before their 10th birthday”
On initiative of the carnival association De Windbuul’n “Carnival4Energy” was established, in co-operation with Joint4Energy. To bring more awareness for this disease De Windbuul’n decided to join hands with other carnival associations and go for a dive in an outdoor swimming pool to raise money for metabolic energy disease.
As our colleague Bjorn Engbersen is a true fanatic when it comes to Carnival, and member of De Windbuul’n, he couldn’t stay behind and had to face the water. Duxvalves was more than happy in supporting him. Not only Duxvalves also several clients and suppliers of Duxvalves decided to make a donation for this event.
In the end Carnival4Energy was a very successful initiative bringing more awareness and raising money for researches. Thanks to all the donations and the participants for the dive they have raised an amount of € 13.500,-.
Luckily for Bjorn is wasn’t freezing that day as a pink man-kini wouldn’t keep him warm.
